When getting the vast majority of individuals to alter their way of living, one is sure to get several teething problems. Several bus drivers have claimed ignorance turning their faces in the opposite direction as they flout lockdown rules.

Operators of minibusses in South Africa are turning a blind eye as they defy the government order, informing them to minimize the number of passengers on board buses.

The minibus operators are meant to stick to a 70% capacity for safety cause, but bus drivers were instructed to carry passengers to full capacity, by the National Taxi Association of SA.

According to the reports from local media, these commuters are boarding and occupying seats in minibusses without any form of complaint.

Just last week, companies operating minibusses went on strike, to lead a protest against the government relief packages for COVID-19, estimated to be $300 equivalent to £240 for every driver registered, which they argued was too small.
