BMW SA in Conjunction With The German Govt, To Spend R76m Equipping Hospitals In South Africa

BMW South Africa alongside the German government officially announces its plans to fully equip South Africa clinics and hospitals, to help in the fight against COVID-19.


The R76 million will be injected into the system to upgrade medical facilities, create thousands of extra beds, supply both testing and medical equipment’s and finally provide ambulances as well as other emergency vehicles, this indeed is good news for the country.


This initiative will benefit four community clinics and eight hospitals in Gauteng, Limpopo, and North West. The key share will be spent in Tshwane Township, Soshanguve.


Over 300 beds will be given to the Dr. George Mukhari Hospital alongside an upgrade to the emergency facilities.


South Africa motor companies have been at the forefront in supporting the battle against the pandemic. During the lockdown, numerous organizations to manufacture a range of medical equipment’s such as ventilators, facemasks, and so on, adopted the use of idle machinery.
