A jaw-dropping unforeseen development has left Sir Saniniu Laizer speechless and perplexed, as he emerged a millionaire overnight, I am sure you are wondering how.
A Tanzanian small-scale miner, by name Saniniu Laizer, became a millionaire overnight, after finding two rare Tanzanite stones, having a combined weight of 15kg (2.3lb) and valued at $3.4 million (£2.4m), the biggest ever discovered in the country.
Tanzanite stones are one of the Earth's rarest gemstone, and in Tanzania, it can only be found in the northern region of the country, used in the construction of ornaments. Within the next 20 – 25 years, geologists estimate gemstone complete depletion.
The precious stones appeal comes in a variety of hues such as green, purple, blue, and red.
Last week Mr. Saniniu Laizer mined the gemstones which weighed 9.2kg and 5.8kg and sold them on Wednesday in the northern region of Manyara, during a trading event.
Tanzanian President John Magufuli, called in to congratulate the now happy Mr. Laizer. “This is the benefit of a small scale miner, which in turn proves that Tanzania is indeed rich”, the president exclaimed.

Mr. Laizer, 52, is married to four beautiful wives. "to celebrate I will slaughter one of my fat cows”. The small-scale miner made his plans known to the public, emphasizing on investing his fortune on his community in Simanjiro district in Manyara.
“I want to contribute to my community by building a school near my home and erecting a shopping mall. There are several poor people all over who cannot in any way afford to sponsor their children to school. I believe this initiative will be a step in the right direction”, he added.
