Kenya's police force has yet again been accused of Brutality towards its citizens.

In this recent bout of abuse by security operatives in the country, three police officers allegedly tied a 21-year-old woman to a motorcycle, and she was filmed being dragged on the ground. The incident took place in the western county of Nakuru.

All three police officers had accused the victim of being involved in a robbery.

In the now-viral video, while one policeman dragged her with the motorcycle, another was seen whipping the victim as she begged for them to stop.

The crowd who witness this Brutality had reportedly intervened to save the victim and had taken her to receive treatment for injuries, which included a broken leg.

Last week, according to the police watchdog, more than 15 people had been killed by police during the country's nationwide curfew, to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
There have been calls for defaulting officers to be arrested and charged, but little action has been taken so far.

Governor of Nakuru, in a press briefing on Wednesday, said that the behavior seen in the video would not be tolerated.

According to Kenya's Department of Criminal Investigation, the three police officers are now in custody and are helping with investigations into the incident.
