Following the death of Burundi’s outgoing president Pierre Nkurunziza, another prominent political figure Gabon PM, Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet draws his last breath. Whether or not the novel virus caused his demise is still unknown. 

 

Speculations twirls in Gabon, a country located on the West coast of Africa, bordered by Cameroon, Republic of Congo, and Equatorial Guinea, over the cause of the Prime Ministers' death. 

 

The citizens of Gabon have been thrown into a state of confusion, morning the sudden death of the Prime Minister, Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet. President Ali Bongo posted the news of his demise on Twitter. The former PM was described as “pronounced servant of the state, diligently performing his duties, he dedicated his entire life to Gabon, Emmanuel Ngondet left us too soon. It is indeed a big loss for our great country,” the president added. 

 

The cause of death remains unknown. Emmanuel-Ngondet, from the year 2016-2019 served as the country's Prime Minister until his current replacement Julien Nkoghe Bekale. 

 

Late Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet, before his painful demise, had held high government positions, representing the country several times at the United Nations General Assembly, as a Foreign Affairs Minister.
