Muslims are taking a step further to source for alternatives to keep the tradition alive amid the pandemic.

Muslim organizations, families, and individuals across the country are utilizing online alternatives such as online concerts & social media, finding technologies as well as virtual options to ensure celebrations are kept in check.

UMR Kenyan representative, Abdul Ghani Ismail virtually assembled staff and volunteers a few hours ago to kick start the dissemination of necessities such as toys, care packages, food, clothes and so on, in East Africa.

“Before the pandemic swept the nation by surprise, I would have personally supervised the distribution of Eid gifts, material and food to several local subdivisions in Kenya”, Ghani Ismail said. He further termed it his “ethical” sense of duty to be available during the distributions.

Restriction put in place by the Kenyan Government has made it impossible for individuals alongside UMR Kenyan representative, Abdul Ghani Ismail, to travel outside his province, forcing him to fulfill his duties through skype, twitter, WhatsApp, Zoom.
